The topic of the meeting will be Joomla!, a free and open source content management system for your website. Joomla offers a wide array of features, including the ability to install and integrate numerous extensions to easily create forums, blogs, and more. With the recent release of Joomla 1.5, website administration, configuration, and development just became a lot easier. The Joomla presentation will include: * Overview of Joomla: What it is, where it came from, what you need to run Joomla, how to install Joomla, and what you can do with Joomla. * Live Demo of the TALUG Joomla website, showing how it was set up and configured. * Interactive development session of the TALUG website. Nominations If you are interested in contributing to the LUG, or Free Software for that matter, then please consider nominating yourself or someone else in the LUG (with his/her consent) who you think would be a good candidate for the following positions: * President * Vice-President * Secretary * Treasurer Think about the people you know who seem to be active in the LUG (including yourself) and be ready to choose your nominees by sending the name in an email to 'officers at talug.org'. PGP Key-Signing Party A PGP key-signing party will be held after the Joomla presentation.
