New Template & Site Suggestions

Just to let all of you know, a new TALUG template is in the works for the site. The one you're seeing now is a stock template, but that will change here hopefully very soon.

Along with this little announcement, we'd like to hear what you all think of the site. Is there enough content? What would you like to see? Your opinion is highly valued here, and any and all suggestions or comments are welcomed. Feel free to contact us and let us know.

TALUG 2009 Upcoming Elections

As per our constitution, we'd like to officially announce the upcoming 2009 TALUG officer elections. If you'd like to volunteer your time to helping out TAUG, or know someone who might, you may submit your nominations for an officer position via our usual contact form on this site.
Nominations will be accepted up until our next meeting (August 8th), at which time, we will announce the candidates and begin the voting process.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Ubuntu 9.04 Released

Well, it's official: Ubuntu 9.04 is out, and you can get your torrents from LinuxTracker here. Remember, if you are unable to download Ubuntu due to bandwidth limitations, we will be providing free CDs at the next TALUG meeting, which will be May 9th. Stay tuned for further announcements.

Forum status and meeting dates

The forums are back up. Our apologies once again for all prior content on them being lost. Also, the next four TALUG meeting dates and times have been set. Look for those to appear here on the site shortly.

Forums down

The forums will be down until further notice. We apologize for the invonvenience and we'll have them back up and running before too long.

Mailing List Down

If you haven't noticed yet, the TALUG mailing list is down. I suspect the reason is because the site was recently moved to another server on our web host. Sorry for the inconvenience, and we'll try to have it back up as soon as possible.
